Welcome to the Carlinville Police Department, striving to keep our
community safe for our children and families.
Carlinville is located in Macoupin County, Illinois and serves a community
of 5,917 people. The department is comprised of a Chief of Police, 2
Sergeants, 1 Detective and 7 Patrol Officers. The department also includes a
dispatch center which operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The Carlinville Police Department is dedicated to working in partnership
with the community to promote safety and enhance the quality of living.

The Board of Police and Fire Commissioners are accepting applications to test
for and establish an eligibility list for Police Officers. Applications
will be accepted through June 15th, 2012. Applications can be downloaded
from our employment tab. Applicants will be notified by mail of a testing
date.
